Stephen MinistryWe all experience challenges in life – times when we could benefit from the support of someone who cares. Our Stephen Ministry provides one on one Christ centered confidential care for those who are going through a difficult time.
A Stephen Minister is:
a child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting.
a member of fellowship of the Rockies church with gifts for caregiving who was carefully selected to serve in this role.
a follower of Christ who has received 50 hours of training in providing emotional and spiritual care
a caring Christian who listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages
someone who will be there for his or her care receiver, meeting faithfully for about one hour each week, for as long as there is a need
“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 1 Corinthians 1:3-4
